Abstract

This article explores the importance of revitalizing Balinese local traditions within the education system through an ethnopedagogical approach. Balinese traditions contain noble values such as community spirit, harmony with nature, and spirituality, which can serve as the foundation for character education. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this study examines how local cultural values can be integrated into the curriculum and learning processes. The ethnopedagogical approach enables students to acquire not only academic knowledge but also to understand and internalize ancestral cultural values. Findings suggest that education based on local culture can strengthen students' identity, ethics, and social responsibility, and serves as a crucial strategy in facing the challenges of globalization and modernization.
