PENGUATAN KARAKTER SISWA MELALUI EDUKASI ETIKA BERMEDIA SOSIAL

Abstract

The development of information technology and social media has significantly influenced communication patterns among teenagers, especially high school students. The high intensity of social media use among students is not fully balanced with adequate understanding of digital ethics and polite communication. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ understanding of digital ethics through a socialization program at SMAN 3 Barabai. The methods used included group discussions, lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and documentation. The results showed that students better understood the importance of polite, wise, safe, and responsible communication in social media use and became more aware of cyberbullying, hoaxes, and digital footprints.
