PREDIKSI PROFIL RESERPINE DARI AKAR RAUVOLFIA SERPENTINA SEBAGAI KANDIDAT SENYAWA ANTIHIPERTENSI

Authors

Abstract

Reserpine is one of the main alkaloids found in the root of Rauvolfia serpentina and has long been used as an antihypertensive agent. This study aims to predict the pharmacological profile and pharmacokinetic potential of reserpine through an in silico approach. The chemical structure data were obtained in the SMILES format from PubChem and analyzed using the bioactivity prediction platform Way2Drug. The results indicated that reserpine exhibited significant pharmacological activity toward hypertension-related receptor targets and demonstrated an ADME profile that supports its potential use as an antihypertensive candidate compound. Therefore, this study reinforces the potential of reserpine as a natural-based lead compound for antihypertensive drug development.
