Seraung : International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is an open access scholarly journal that publishes original research articles, theoretical studies, critical reflections, and conceptual papers in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, including Education, Sociology, Economics, Anthropology, Communication, History, Law, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, and Community Dynamics. The name "Seraung" comes from the Dayak language, referring to a traditional wide-brimmed hat that symbolizes protection, resilience, and enlightenment. This philosophy reflects the role of knowledge as a guiding force in addressing social challenges and fostering human development. The journal welcomes contributions from authors, researchers, lecturers, students, and practitioners worldwide to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and provide insights and solutions to contemporary global and local issues. With a commitment to academic quality, all submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution. Published twice a year (May–October and November–April), Seraung is managed and published by Yayasan Al Jawiyah (Registration Number: AHU-0034699.AH.01.04 TAHUN 2016).
